Great to meet you!

I am very open minded and will be flexible to client needs. I have a masters in social work from Hunter College and obtained my clinical hours through experience in foster care and adoption. Afterward, I worked with a diverse population within the Bronx at an outpatient clinic, worked in schools, and the court system. I have worked with people from several different backgrounds of religions, cultures, and family structures. Most experience is with family, trauma, mood/personality disorders.

My approach to therapy

I am very client centered and focused and often will come with a strength-based perspective. I am very inquisitive about peoples interests of focus into their concerns. I am open minded and gathering information that possibly could be helpful in regards to clients’ needs. I take attachment theory and trauma focused approach within many situations, but I am open to other styles such as more focusing on a specific issue in which I may use solution focused therapy or cognitive behavioral therapy.

What you can expect from me

Client should generally have an understanding of the information that is going to be relevant to their treatment and theories of how to approach the next steps. Additionally, clients will have a understanding of how they could best be helps and if the approach works for them and they are comfortable with how to move forward.
