Great to meet you!

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with more than 17 years of experience supporting adolescents, adults, older adults, and families through difficult life circumstances. I earned my Master of Social Work and have a professional background that includes mental health, crisis intervention, education, community-based services, and work with youth and families involved in complex systems.

Throughout my career, I have supported individuals and families experiencing anxiety, stress, grief and loss, life transitions, relationship and family challenges, crisis situations, and the impact of serious mental illness on the family. My experience has taught me that people often come to therapy carrying many responsibilities while trying their best to keep moving forward.

I bring a calm, practical, and compassionate approach to therapy. I believe in meeting people where they are, helping them recognize their strengths, and working together toward meaningful and realistic change.

My approach to therapy

My approach is collaborative, supportive, and solution-focused. I create a space where clients can speak openly without judgment while also working toward practical strategies they can use in their everyday lives.

Depending on each client's needs, I draw from strengths-based, solution-focused, cognitive-behavioral, and person-centered approaches. Together, we may work on understanding patterns, managing stress and anxiety, strengthening coping skills, establishing healthy boundaries, improving relationships, navigating transitions, and identifying changes that can improve overall well-being.

I believe therapy should be more than simply talking about what is wrong. It should help you better understand yourself, recognize what is within your control, build on your strengths, and develop tools that support lasting growth.

What you can expect from me

Our first session is an opportunity for us to get to know one another and begin identifying what brought you to therapy and what you would like to change or improve. You do not need to have everything figured out or know exactly where to begin.

I will ask questions about your current concerns, relevant experiences, strengths, support system, and goals. We will begin identifying priorities and discussing what may be most helpful moving forward.

My goal is for you to leave the first session feeling heard, respected, and with a clearer understanding of how we can work together. Therapy is a collaborative process, and we will move at a pace that supports both your comfort and your goals.
