Great to meet you!

Hi, I’m Stephanie Ward, LCSW, and the founder of Resilient Roots Counseling!

I help women navigate life’s challenges—whether it’s healing from trauma, adjusting to motherhood, or rediscovering who you are. I see you as a whole person, not just your struggles, and I’m not the type of therapist who just nods along. With over 15 years of experience, I take a warm, down-to-earth approach, offering real conversation, practical tools, and deep healing work. If you’re ready to feel more like you again, I’d love to support you!

My approach to therapy

I believe therapy should feel like a conversation—real, supportive, and sometimes even a little messy (because life is!). I take a warm, interactive approach, bringing curiosity, honesty, and evidence-based techniques to help you heal and grow. I specialize in working with women, particularly around trauma, motherhood, identity shifts, and the weight of expectations. My focus is on seeing you as a whole person, not just your struggles, and giving you practical tools—not just a space to vent. Together, we’ll uncover patterns, challenge old narratives, and help you step into a more grounded, confident version of yourself.

What you can expect from me

My goal is to create a space where you feel safe, heard, and truly seen—without judgment or pressure to have it all figured out. Together, we’ll work toward healing old wounds, building self-trust, and creating a life that feels more aligned with you. I focus on giving you practical tools, deeper self-understanding, and the confidence to navigate life’s challenges. Whether you’re looking to process trauma, find balance in motherhood, or reconnect with yourself, we’ll do the work together—in a way that feels supportive, empowering, and real.
