My main focus of practice is Eating Disorders. I have additional training and experience working with anxiety, depression, family issues, behavioral struggles, trauma, LGBTQ+ community, self-harm, and life transitions.
My approach to therapy is to integrate evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Radically Open Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Person-Centered Therapy, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. I treat every individual differently to meet their needs with where they are in life. I also strongly believe that the therapy relationship should always be collaborative.
I strongly believe that every person seeking therapy should feel a connection with their therapist and feel comfortable in the therapeutic relationship. I think it is important that in our first meeting, we both get to know each other and see if we will be a good match. If we are not a good match, I always encourage clients to seek someone else who might fit their needs better and something I am willing to help with as much as possible. Your comfort in therapy is what matters to help break through the barriers that you are seeking help for.
