Great to meet you!

I’m Stephanie Ycasa, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker providing therapy in English and Spanish for teens and adults across Florida. I have three years in practice, and my training includes a Master of Social Work from the University of Denver and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Florida International University. I specialize in helping clients navigate anxiety, ADHD, self-esteem, life transitions, relationship challenges, depression, stress, and the lasting impact of painful past experiences. My style is warm, encouraging, and grounded, and I care deeply about creating a space where you feel heard, respected, and never judged. As a bilingual therapist, I value making therapy feel accessible, collaborative, and culturally responsive so clients can show up as their full selves and begin creating meaningful, lasting change.

My approach to therapy

My approach is collaborative, trauma-informed, and goal-oriented. I believe therapy works best when it feels like a genuine partnership—one that balances practical support with deeper insight into the patterns that may be keeping you stuck. I primarily work with teens and adults, and I tailor treatment to each person’s needs using evidence-based methods including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), mindfulness, Motivational Interviewing, Solution-Focused Therapy, strength-based work, and culturally sensitive, client-centered care. My philosophy is that therapy should help you not only feel better, but understand yourself more fully, strengthen emotional resilience, improve self-awareness, and leave with tools you can actually use in everyday life.

What you can expect from me

Our first session is a chance to slow down and look closely at what has been weighing on you lately, what feels most important to change, and what support would actually feel helpful right now. I want that first conversation to feel welcoming, thoughtful, and clear, so by the end of the session you have a better sense of how we can work together and what the next steps will look like. My goal is for you to leave feeling supported, understood, and more hopeful about the path ahead.

In our first sessions, we'll explore questions like: What would healing or progress look like for you? What is bothering you the most? What changes would you hope to see in your life? These conversations help guide our work together and ensure therapy is focused on what matters most to you.
