Stephanie Ycasa earned her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Florida International University in 2019 and her Master’s degree in Social Work, with a focus on Mental Health and Trauma, from the University of Denver in 2023. Stephanie has over 8 years working with children, adolescents, and their families within school and clinical settings. Stephanie is fluent in both English and Spanish. Stephanie works with clients across the lifespan, starting at the age of 13 years old.

In session, Stephanie uses a multifaceted therapeutic skillset that includes evidence-based interventions tailored to the unique needs of each client. She integrates Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to address cognitive distortions and enhance emotional regulation.

My approach to therapy

Stephanie also uses play therapy techniques to create a safe space for expression, mindfulness practices to promote self-awareness and relaxation, and Motivational Interviewing to enhance motivation and goal-setting.
