I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor in Texas and Colorado. I earned my Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Liberty University and am currently pursuing my PhD in Counselor Education and Supervision at the University of the Cumberlands. I work primarily with individuals navigating OCD, anxiety, trauma, and the stress that comes with feeling stuck in painful patterns. Many of the people I support struggle with intrusive thoughts, compulsions, panic, overthinking, emotional overwhelm, or trauma responses that make daily life feel exhausting and hard to manage. I value creating a space where you can feel comfortable, understood, and fully yourself without judgment. My approach is collaborative and grounded, with a focus on helping you feel supported while also building practical tools you can use in your everyday life.
My approach to therapy is collaborative, practical, and rooted in evidence-based treatment. I often use Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) for OCD and anxiety, along with EMDR for trauma, while also drawing from CBT and person-centered therapy to meet each client where they are. ERP can help reduce the hold that intrusive thoughts, compulsions, and avoidance have on your life, while EMDR supports the processing of traumatic experiences that may still feel emotionally or physically activating. CBT helps identify and shift thought patterns that fuel anxiety, fear, and distress. Together, we work to better understand your patterns, strengthen emotional regulation, and develop new ways of responding to difficult thoughts and emotions. Therapy with me is supportive and compassionate, but also active and goal-oriented, helping you move toward a life that feels more manageable, aligned, and fulfilling.
In our first session, you can expect a relaxed and welcoming space where we begin getting to know each other and talking through what has been going on for you. Whether you are dealing with OCD, anxiety, trauma, intrusive thoughts, compulsions, stress, or feeling stuck in patterns that no longer serve you, we will explore your experiences and what you hope to get out of therapy. I will ask questions to better understand what feels hardest right now, what has helped in the past, and what goals matter most to you. We will also begin identifying patterns and discussing a general plan for how we can move forward in a way that feels realistic, supportive, and aligned with your values. My goal is for you to leave the first session feeling understood, supported, and clearer about the path ahead.
