Great to meet you!

I earned both my undergraduate and graduate degrees from Florida State University. My graduate degree in Clinical Social Work is complemented by a degree in Criminology and minor coursework in psychology. In my day to day practice, I aim to fulfill the core values of competency, passion, and openness.

Navigating life changes and adjusting to challenges, such as depression, anxiety, hopelessness, grief, bereavement, addiction, and trauma, can be overwhelming. These, along with other clinically relevant and diagnosed concerns, do not have to be faced alone. I have helped individuals find success and fulfillment in managing these issues.

Professionally, I have had the opportunity to work with people from a variety of backgrounds and presenting concerns in a variety of settings including traditional group and individual therapeutic settings as well as in medical settings where new life adjustments are required. I recognize how our environments and lived experiences can have massive impacts on our schemas, conscious and subconscious lives while also appreciating the unique nature of each individual.

A bit about my approach to therapy

My primary practice model pulls from positive psychology with an acute awareness that life can be incredibly challenging at times. My approach is seated in evidence based practices while remaining flexible enough to reflect on various theorem regarding symptomology onset and fulfillment.

I believe in the strengths-based perspective in that, although life and our experiences can be brutally difficult and confusing at times, we as human beings are far more resilient and capable than we give ourselves credit for. That is to say that although we may have experienced difficulties, we have the ability to achieve our best and most fulfilling life, beginning right where we are today.

What you can expect from our first session

My goals when working with clients are for clarity, perhaps light shone on previously covered truths, more self compassion, appreciation, and an enthusiasm to move forward with the personal goals of the client.
