Great to meet you!

My best teachers are my clients who dare to come face to face in an open and honest manner with themselves. Mind, body and spirit: sometimes we need a guide to disentangle our sacred rationality from our emotions. I have spent 50 years with adults who are seeking recovery from mental illness, trauma, broken relationships and addictions. I work with first responders. Check out my website: www.rocklandpsych.net

My approach to therapy

I conduct individual and couples therapy. Your story is the basis for the work we will do. Straight talk in a supportive setting. Powerful emotions often steer us without our awareness. Learning to handle our feelings without fearing them is essential to healthy functioning.. Clients who do well are willing to put great energy and commitment into therapy and the work they do between sessions.

What you can expect from me

A clearer understanding of their problems and personal strengths. A sense of hope and a willingness to work on issues with tools suggested in our sessions. A chance to use their mind, both feelings and thoughts, and getting more aware of the role their body plays in their psychological functioning.
