Great to meet you!

Have you ever heard the saying "the mind is a wonderful servant, but a terrible master?" Many people find themselves caught in patterns of thought that feel automatic and hard to step away from. Rather than trying to eliminate these thoughts, we change how you relate to them. This happens in two main ways. The first is through mindfulness. Not mindfulness as meditation or yoga, but as intentional awareness of your patterns of thinking and feeling. The second is values, meaning what matters most to you and what you want your life to stand for. These values serve as a compass to guide your decisions.

My approach to therapy

My clinical experience includes working with those struggling with anxiety, depression, emotional awareness, relationship issues, life transitions, codependence, and grief. I am passionate about helping others effectively develop language around their feelings and emotions. I use a variety of behavioral and mindfulness techniques including CBT, DBT, ACT.

What you can expect from me

With over 15 years experience in the field, I have worked with individuals struggling with a variety of mental health concerns. I believe that vague goals yield vague results. We will work together to establish SMART goals early on. These goals will serve as our destination. I will work backwards from there to create a roadmap of interventions, objectives, and skills.
