Great to meet you!

My journey in healthcare began when I was 16, rooted in a desire to give back the same compassionate care my father received during his battle with cancer. That experience shaped not only my career path but also the heart of how I show up for the people I work with. From the very beginning, I’ve believed that care should feel human, respectful, and genuinely supportive.

Throughout my career, I’ve sought out every opportunity to grow—advancing my education, expanding my skill set, and staying connected to the latest developments in mental health. I’ve worked in a variety of settings, including inpatient crisis intervention, outpatient psychiatry, addiction medicine, and acute hospital environments such as the ICU and emergency department. These experiences have taught me that every person’s story is unique, and healing looks different for everyone.

I’ve been honored to receive several awards for patient care, but the real reward for me is helping someone feel safe, understood, and hopeful again. My goal is to create a warm, collaborative space where you can be yourself, explore what you’re going through, and feel supported every step of the way. You don’t have to navigate your challenges alone—I'm here to walk with you.

My approach to therapy

When I work with clients, my approach is grounded in the belief that you are the expert on your own life. My role is to support, guide, and empower you—not to dictate your path. I make the client the true center of care, always honoring your wishes, values, and comfort level throughout the process. Together, we move at your pace and in the direction that feels right for you.

Education is a major part of how I practice. I believe that when you understand what you’re experiencing—whether it’s symptoms, patterns, or treatment options—you gain the power to make the best decisions for yourself. I take time to explain, teach, and answer questions, offering clear and practical information so you feel confident and in control of your care.

Whether we’re exploring mood concerns, anxiety, trauma-related symptoms, addiction, or navigating times of crisis, I focus on building a collaborative partnership. I bring clinical expertise, but you bring your lived experience, and both are essential. My goal is to create a supportive, judgment-free space where you feel heard, respected, and empowered to take the steps that feel most meaningful to you.

What you can expect from me

In our first session together, clients can expect a welcoming, calm, and judgment-free space where the focus is entirely on getting to know you—your story, your needs, and what you hope to gain from care. I take time to truly listen so I can understand what’s happening in your life right now, what feels most urgent, and what your longer-term goals look like.

I like to think of the first session as laying out a roadmap. Together, we’ll talk about where you’d like to be—emotionally, mentally, or functionally—and then break that vision down into both immediate needs and meaningful long-term steps. This process helps us identify what support you need right away, while also giving you a clear sense of direction and hope for the future.

You can expect open conversation, plenty of space for questions, and a collaborative approach where your comfort and your voice guide the pace. My goal is for you to leave that first session feeling heard, understood, and supported—with a clearer understanding of what comes next and the reassurance that you won’t be navigating any of it alone.
