Great to meet you!

I believe therapy works best when you can be yourself, and that starts with me being myself. My style is warm, conversational, and down-to-earth. I don't believe therapy has to feel formal or intimidating. Instead, I see it as a genuine conversation with purpose, where we work together to better understand what's happening in your life and identify meaningful ways forward.

I also believe that change rarely happens in a straight line. Progress often includes unexpected turns, setbacks, and moments of insight. Rather than focusing on perfection, we'll work to understand patterns, build on your strengths, and develop practical tools that fit your life.

My goal is to create an environment where you feel comfortable asking difficult questions, exploring challenges honestly, and even finding moments of humor along the way. Therapy doesn't have to feel like you're being analyzed. It should feel like you're working with someone who is genuinely invested in helping you make sense of your experiences and move toward the life you want.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is collaborative, conversational, and grounded in curiosity. I believe meaningful change doesn't happen in a straight line. It often meanders, with setbacks, discoveries, and unexpected moments of growth along the way. My role is to help you make sense of that journey, not to judge where you are on it.

I strive to create a space where therapy feels like a genuine conversation with purpose. Together, we'll explore the patterns that brought you here, understand what's keeping you stuck, and identify practical ways to move toward the life you want. Rather than focusing only on symptoms, I help clients understand the processes behind their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors so they can build lasting change.

My work is informed by evidence-based approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), while remaining flexible to each person's unique needs and experiences. I believe there is no one-size-fits-all approach to therapy. Some people benefit from learning new coping skills, while others need space to process difficult experiences, challenge long-held beliefs, or reconnect with their values.

Above all, I believe therapy should feel authentic. I aim to create a warm, relaxed environment where you can be yourself, ask difficult questions, and work at a pace that feels right for you. Change doesn't require perfection. It begins with understanding, intention, and taking the next meaningful step.

What you can expect from me

During our first session, my priority is getting to know you, not trying to solve everything in one appointment. We'll talk about what brought you to therapy, what you're hoping to change, and any questions or concerns you have about the process.

We'll also explore your personal history, current challenges, strengths, and what's important to you so I can develop a clear understanding of your unique situation. From there, we'll begin identifying goals and discussing an approach that feels like a good fit for you.

You don't need to have all the answers or know exactly where to start. Many people come to their first session feeling nervous or unsure of what to expect, and that's completely okay. My goal is to create a comfortable, collaborative environment where you can speak openly at your own pace.

By the end of our first meeting, you'll have a better understanding of how I work, what therapy with me will look like, and together we'll begin building a plan that supports the changes you want to make.
