Great to meet you!

I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Georgia with over six years of clinical experience working with children, adolescents, young adults, and adults. I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Fort Valley State University and my Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Argosy University. My professional background includes community-based therapy, school-based counseling, and private practice, which allows me to meet clients with flexibility, creativity, and real-world understanding.

As a former educator, including experience teaching second grade, I bring patience, structure, and developmentally appropriate strategies into my work—especially when supporting children and families. I pride myself on being professional, non-judgmental, and warm, and I am deeply committed to creating a safe, affirming space for clients of all identities. I have extensive multicultural experience and am an affirming ally of the LGBTQIA+ community. I specialize in depression, anxiety, trauma, relationship concerns, men’s mental health, and life transitions.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is collaborative, client-centered, and solution-oriented. I believe clients are the experts of their own lives, and my role is to help you better understand what’s holding you back while building on your existing strengths. I primarily use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Solution-Focused techniques, while remaining flexible and responsive to each client’s unique needs.

Together, we work to identify unhelpful thought patterns, develop practical coping strategies, and create realistic goals that support meaningful change. I meet clients where they are—emotionally, culturally, and situationally—and focus on helping them move forward in a way that feels authentic, empowering, and sustainable.

What you can expect from me

The first session is a space to slow down, feel heard, and begin making sense of what brought you to therapy. We’ll talk about your concerns, goals, and what you hope to gain from counseling—at a pace that feels comfortable for you. You can expect a supportive, judgment-free conversation focused on understanding your experiences rather than rushing to “fix” anything.

From the start, clients often report increased clarity, emotional validation, and a sense of direction. Over time, our work focuses on building insight, strengthening coping skills, improving emotional regulation, and creating tangible progress toward your mental health goals. My goal is for you to leave therapy feeling more confident, grounded, and equipped to navigate life’s challenges.
