Steven Parks

I am Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Supervisor. I specializes in working with children, adolescents, and adults experiencing trauma symptoms, depression, anxiety, and negative behaviors. I am a Registered Play Therapist and integrate play therapy into my work with clients.

I have a Master's of Social Work and Master's of Business Administration from the University of Houston and a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology in Texas Tech University.

My approach is very strengths-based and person-centered with a strong emphasis on adjusting the environment for optimal mental health and family functioning.

I'm a Registered Play Therapist and use play therapy when working with children. I am certified in Parent-Child Interaction Therapy, a therapy that targets difficult to handle behaviors of children. I am a certified Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapist, a therapy for children, adolescents, and adults with a history of trauma.

I strive to create a welcoming and collaborative environment that is accepting of all types of people from all walks of life. I also work to be effective by listening to clients needs and constructing treatment plans and recommendations around client's personal needs. I believe that when given fertile ground to think and process, we can all discover and grow into our best selves.
