Great to meet you!

I am a compassionate Licensed Professional Counselor holding a Master's in Counseling from East Texas Baptist University, where I developed a unique ability to thoughtfully integrate spirituality into the healing process when it aligns with a client's values and goals.

With extensive experience across diverse settings, including case management in Dallas serving individuals from a wide range of cultures and ethnicities, as well as clinical outpatient and inpatient environments, I have supported clients of all ages, from children as young as 5 to adults up to 99. My work has addressed a broad spectrum of challenges, including depression, anxiety, trauma, personality disorders, boundary issues, addiction, bipolar disorder, mood disorders, schizophrenia, and many others.

Trained in crisis and suicide intervention and certified in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), I primarily operate from a CBT framework but flexibly integrate other evidence-based techniques to best meet each client's unique needs. Over the course of my career, I have facilitated over 1,000 successful client outcomes, helping individuals build resilience, achieve meaningful change, and move toward greater well-being and purpose.

Driven by a deep love for others and a belief that we are created out of love and called to love intentionally, my passion is empowering clients to heal, grow, and thrive. I am committed to creating a safe, collaborative space where your story matters and your healing journey is honored.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is warm, integrative, and deeply person-centered. My primary strength lies in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), in which I am certified, and I excel at helping clients identify and reframe unhelpful thought patterns, develop practical coping skills, and create meaningful, lasting behavioral change. At the same time, I draw from a variety of evidence-based modalities and techniques, thoughtfully combining them based on each client's unique needs, preferences, and circumstances. With sensitivity to cultural diversity and an openness to incorporating spirituality when it aligns with a client's values and beliefs, I create a safe, collaborative space that honors the whole person. My work spans all ages and a wide range of concerns, from depression, anxiety, trauma, and addiction to severe mental illnesses, always guided by a genuine love for others and a conviction that healing flows from intentional, compassionate connection.

What you can expect from me

The core of the session involves me asking thoughtful questions to understand what brings you here, what challenges you're facing (such as depression, anxiety, trauma, or other concerns), how they've been impacting your life, your goals for therapy, and relevant background like your history, relationships, support systems, and any past experiences with mental health care. You control how much you share; there's no pressure to dive into everything at once. This intake helps me get a clear picture so I can collaborate with you on a personalized plan.

We'll also talk about your hopes for therapy, any preferences (including whether you'd like to incorporate spirituality if that feels meaningful to you), and how my integrative, person-centered approach, always guided by compassion and a belief in intentional connection, can support you. By the end, you should feel heard, have a sense of whether we're a good fit, and leave with some initial direction or next steps.
