Great to meet you!

I’m a licensed psychologist and psychoanalyst who takes a thoughtful, open-minded, and collaborative approach to therapy. I work psychodynamically, helping patients explore patterns in their emotions, relationships, and ways of coping, while staying attentive to the concerns that bring them to therapy now. I also offer brief, focused dynamic therapy for people who want to work through a particular challenge or transition. My style is professional, engaged, and easygoing, and I welcome people from a wide range of backgrounds and concerns.

My approach to therapy

My approach is grounded in psychoanalytic and psychodynamic thinking. I’m interested in understanding the underlying emotional and relational patterns that shape how we experience ourselves, other people, and the world. I draw from different psychoanalytic traditions and tailor the work to the individual rather than applying a single formula. Therapy can be exploratory and open-ended, or more focused and time-limited, depending on your goals and what you’re looking to address. My style is thoughtful, engaged, and easygoing, with an emphasis on creating a space where we can think openly and honestly together.

What you can expect from me

In our first meeting, I’ll invite you to talk about what feels important to you and what brings you to therapy. I’ll listen closely and ask questions to better understand your experience, while also sharing my thoughts and observations as we go. The first session is an opportunity for me to begin getting a sense of how you think, feel, and relate to others, as well as what you’re hoping to get from therapy. We can then think together about what kind of approach might be most useful for you.
