Great to meet you!

Hello and welcome to my profile. I am a licensed psychologist trained in psychotherapy, assessment, and research. I have provided therapy and psychological services at the University of California Santa Barbara (UCSB CAPS), Arizona State University’s counseling and clinical psychology training centers, and through NIH-funded community outreach programs. I also teach psychology as an adjunct professor at The City University of New York (CUNY SPS). Before becoming a psychologist, I worked in media, marketing, and international education.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is humanistic and integrative meaning I provide an atmosphere of warmth, safety, and acceptance while weaving in evidence-based interventions to match your concerns. Our therapeutic relationship will center on your emotional processing, nervous system regulation, values and understanding. I will invite you to get specific about how you wish to grow from this therapy process so that our shared aims match your needs.

What you can expect from me

In the beginning of our process, I will ask questions to gain clarity on your psychological concerns. I want to understand how your relationships, mood, motivation, etc. are being impacted and the layered contributing factors that have been impacting you (familial, relational, cultural, societal). Together we will arrive at what feels like the appropriate focus and direction for our work to proceed.
