Great to meet you!

Hi, I'm Stuart Stock-Tucker, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT). I believe therapy should feel like a collaborative, supportive space where you can be yourself, explore what's getting in the way, and build the life you want to live.

I've worked in the addiction and mental health field for over three years, helping individuals navigate substance use, anxiety, trauma, and life's many transitions. Since October 2025, I've also been providing therapy in private practice, where I continue to work with clients from a wide range of backgrounds and experiences.

I earned my Master of Science in Counseling Psychology from California State University, Long Beach. My approach to therapy is integrative and tailored to each person's unique needs, drawing from evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR).

I'm trained in EMDR and have a particular passion for helping people heal from trauma, process difficult life experiences, and reduce the emotional impact of painful memories. Whether you're struggling with addiction, anxiety, trauma, or feeling stuck in patterns that no longer serve you, my goal is to help you develop practical tools, gain insight, and move toward lasting change.

I strive to create a warm, nonjudgmental environment where you feel heard, respected, and supported throughout the therapeutic process. I believe meaningful growth happens through a strong therapeutic relationship, and I consider it a privilege to walk alongside my clients as they work toward their goals.

My approach to therapy

I integrate elements of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and humanistic approaches. I believe it’s essential to recognize how our thoughts can sometimes work against us, while also developing the skills to manage them effectively and with self-compassion.

What you can expect from me

Our first session is a chance for us to get to know one another and begin building a sense of trust. It’s a space where we can both let go of judgment and focus on creating safety and understanding. During this session, you can expect me to ask questions to learn more about you & to ensure you feel comfortable and supported throughout the process.
