Great to meet you!

Hi, I’m Sue. I’m so glad you’re here. I know all too well the courage it takes to reach out to a therapist for support. I also know it's not always easy finding the right fit. My extensive education in both psychology and social work provide a unique combination of skills to assist you in exploring unresolved trauma(s) that impact both the mind and body. I specialize in working with clients who are experiencing anxiety, depression, grief/loss, family conflict, and/or BPD.

My approach to therapy

A strong, collaborative relationship is central to your making meaningful change and lasting growth. I create a non-judgmental and safe space where you are seen, understood, and valued. I will also challenge you to break through negative thought patterns and unwanted behaviors that have kept you stuck. The therapeutic evidence-based modalities I most often use are CBT, DBT, Mind/Body and EMDR. If family or partner is needed to support your healing, they're welcome to participate in the session.

What you can expect from me

During the initial session, I gather information about your life and what you're currently experiencing that made you seek support. We will then work together to set the goals you desire to actively move you towards greater insight and skills to promote your growth and healing. My goal is to assist you in your journey so you can live a life that is authentic, valued, and peaceful.
