Great to meet you!

I’m a bilingual counselor committed to creating a safe, supportive, and culturally affirming space for healing and growth. I have years of experience working with teenagers, adults, and elementary-aged children who are navigating stress, anxiety, emotional regulation, family challenges, and major life transitions. Whether you prefer to speak in English or Spanish, I meet you exactly where you are and help you explore the tools you need to move forward.

My professional background includes extensive work in school settings, community mental health, and private practice. I understand how emotions, environment, and life demands impact daily functioning and I’m passionate about helping clients feel more confident, grounded, and capable. I’m proud to serve diverse families and individuals, especially those seeking a counselor who understands multicultural experiences and the importance of feeling truly heard.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is warm, collaborative, and focused on empowering you to build practical skills that lead to meaningful change. I combine evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), solution-focused techniques, and emotional-regulation strategies with a culturally sensitive, strengths-based perspective. I work to understand your personality, your story, and what has shaped your current struggles so we can create a plan that truly fits your life.

With teens, I focus on helping them express themselves safely, increase emotional awareness, and manage the pressures they face at school, at home, or socially. With adults, I work to untangle stress, improve communication, and break patterns that feel overwhelming or unhelpful. With children, I use age-appropriate activities, play-based interventions, and gentle structure to help them learn coping skills and express what they may not have words for yet.

Clients often describe my style as patient, encouraging, and deeply attentive. I guide sessions with compassion while also offering clear direction to help you reach your goals.

What you can expect from me

Your first session with me is about feeling comfortable and understood. We’ll begin by talking about what brought you to therapy, what challenges you’ve been facing, and what you hope will be different in your life. I’ll ask thoughtful, gentle questions that help us identify patterns, stressors, and strengths so we can build a personalized plan for treatment.

Clients can expect:

  • A calm, welcoming environment
  • Space to share your story at your own pace
  • A clear explanation of how therapy will work
  • Realistic goals we will work toward together
  • Practical next steps you can begin using right away

By the end of the first session, you’ll have a better understanding of what’s happening beneath the surface and how we can move forward as a team. My goal is for you to leave feeling supported, hopeful, and confident that you’re in the right place.
