Great to meet you!

Looking for the right therapist can feel overwhelming, and you deserve to feel truly seen, heard, and supported. I’m Suha, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a Bachelor’s in Psychology and Human Services from Loyola University Chicago and a Master of Social Work from Aurora University, with a focus on healthcare and addictions. I’ve worked in multiple levels of care which has helped me understand what people need in each environment including inpatient, intensive outpatient, agency, and private practice settings.

I work with adults, teens, and children experiencing anxiety, depression, ADHD, OCD, trauma and PTSD, substance use and behavioral addictions, relationship issues, and life transitions. I’m also a good fit if you simply feel stuck and can’t explain why. You’ll find a warm, down-to-earth, nonjudgmental space where your story matters. I welcome people of all ages, backgrounds, and identities.

My approach to therapy

My approach is collaborative, direct, and practical. I blend evidence-based therapies with a trauma-informed, culturally sensitive, and holistic lens, and I tailor each session to you rather than using a one-size-fits-all plan.

Depending on your goals, I may draw on:

  • CBT to change unhelpful thought patterns and reduce anxiety and depression
  • DBT to build skills for managing intense emotions, stress, and relationships
  • ACT and mindfulness to help you get unstuck and live by your values
  • Attachment-based and somatic techniques to heal from trauma, grief, and painful relationship patterns

The goal is for you to leave with real tools you can use between sessions, along with a deeper understanding of yourself, stronger relationships, and lasting change.

What you can expect from me

Your first session we’ll talk about what brought you in, what you’re struggling with, and what you hope will change. I’ll ask some background questions about your history, support system, and goals, and you can share as much or as little as feels comfortable. We’ll also go over confidentiality, scheduling, and how therapy works.

By the end, you’ll have a sense of whether we’re a good fit and a clear first step toward feeling better. Many clients tell me they feel relieved just from having started. I offer flexible telehealth sessions Monday through Thursday, and you’re welcome to reach out by phone or email for a free consultation before booking.
