Great to meet you!

Hi, I’m Sujin Ma, Ph.D., LPCC, BC-DMT, a licensed clinical counselor and board-certified dance/movement therapist in California. I have been working as a therapist since 2018, bringing over 8 years of clinical experience supporting diverse communities. Born in Seoul, Korea, and having lived in the U.S., Thailand, and India, I bring a multicultural perspective and fluency in English and Korean.

I specialize in trauma recovery using body-centered and expressive arts therapy, helping clients process emotions, build safety, and reconnect with themselves. I also support clients experiencing anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, or major life transitions.

Do you sometimes feel disconnected from yourself or others? Are past experiences or old patterns holding you back from living fully? My goal is to create a safe, warm, and non-judgmental space where you feel heard, supported, and empowered to heal.

My approach to therapy

I combine conversation, mindfulness, and creative expressions to help you explore emotions, strengthen self-awareness, and regain a sense of control.

Do you want to feel more present in your body? To connect more deeply with yourself and others? Therapy with me is collaborative and tailored to your needs, helping you build safety, resilience, and meaningful change.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, we’ll focus on understanding your goals, challenges, and experiences. I’ll guide you in tuning into your body, managing stress, and starting to build safety and control.

Are you ready to feel more grounded, empowered, and connected in your life? Together, we’ll create a personalized plan that supports your growth, healing, and well-being.
