Great to meet you!

Hello! My name is Summer Sahd, and I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor in Texas. I earned my Master’s degree in Professional Counseling with a focus on Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Texas State University and my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Texas at Tyler. I'm honored to get to do this work, and I specifically feel most helpful when I'm working with clients who are experiencing grief and loss, life transitions, and identity exploration. The impact of these major life changing events often goes unexpressed and unacknowledged, leaving lingering unresolved feelings. It can be a radical act to let ourselves hurt.

My approach to therapy

My approach is informed by Existential therapy, Internal Family Systems, EMDR, and Mindfulness. I explore what it means to be human with clients, how to tend to the dualities of life (sorrow and joy), and how to foster inner harmony and authentic living.

What you can expect from me

Together, we will explore what has led you here, process any unresolved feelings that deserve to be expressed, untangle and release what no longer serves you, integrate healthy coping mechanisms, and uncover your authentic self.
