Summer is deeply driven to inspire positive transformation in the way people think and feel, fostering a more kind and connected world. She has a gift for creating safe and welcoming spaces. Her work centers on helping women and youth navigate emotional changes, identity shifts, and the mental load that often accompanies major life stages.
Summer offers a warm, affirming space to process challenges, restore balance, and cultivate a deeper sense of well-being. She believes social relationships, including the therapeutic relationship, are constructive learning opportunities for life.
Being a mother herself, Summer understands and supports women through the profound transitions of motherhood, postpartum healing, and menopause. Summer also specializes in work with middle school and high school students and provides education and counseling to parents/guardians to collectively and holistically support children and teens. She seamlessly infuses her 20+ years of clinical psychology with a background in education and advocacy.
She holds a Master's degree in Counseling, is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, Certified Parent Educator for Positive Discipline, Certified Clinical Supervisor, and obtained Credentials in School Counseling/Guidance and Administrative Services. In addition, Summer is a 200 hour Certificated Yoga Teacher.
Her education and experience has focused on Child/Adolescent Development, Clinical Psychology, Positive Parenting, Social Justice, Equitable Approaches for the Classroom, LGBTQIA Awareness and Activism, Health, Sex, & Sexuality Education, Project-Based Arts-Integration, and Character-Based Education.
