Great to meet you!

Even strong and capable people sometimes need support navigating life’s challenges. I believe meaningful therapy begins with a trusting, honest relationship where clients feel understood.

I take a practical and direct approach, drawing from cognitive behavioral therapy, EMDR, family systems, narrative therapy, and Internal Family Systems to help clients recognize patterns in thoughts, emotions, and behaviors that may be holding them back.

I work primarily with adults (18+) facing anxiety, depression, trauma, ADHD, relationship, and substance use concerns. Many grew up in emotionally unpredictable or high-conflict homes, often taking on responsibility for others’ emotions. I deeply understand how challenging this can feel and its lasting impact on relationships and self-worth.

I also have extensive experience with adolescents and their families, addressing conflict, understanding the self, and setting boundaries. I have been married since 2006 and am a parent to four children. Balancing family and life challenges has given me insight into growth, resilience, and the importance of self-understanding—perspectives I bring to my work with clients.

Outside of work, I love spending time outdoors with my husband and our four children, cooking and baking, exploring new places, and learning as much as I can about my field.

My approach to therapy

I’m warm, direct, and focused on helping people make real, lasting changes. I work with teens, adults, and families, supporting them through challenges like past trauma, relationship struggles, eating disorders, depression, anxiety, personality-related patterns, and identity or self-worth concerns. I also have a lot of experience helping parents whose teens are preparing for, in, or transitioning out of residential treatment. My style is honest and straightforward, but always compassionate. In sessions, we focus on practical strategies, building skills, and taking small, doable steps that add up to meaningful change—while keeping space for the moments that matter most to you.

What you can expect from me

I believe in creating a safe, supportive space while also being honest and straightforward about what will help you move forward. My style balances compassion with clear boundaries, helping clients feel heard while staying on track toward their goals. Sessions are structured but flexible, allowing us to address what’s most important in the moment while working toward lasting change. I offer practical strategies, honest feedback, and small, realistic steps that build confidence and progress over time.
