Great to meet you!

-------------------------------------------------------Hi! My name is Susan Arrowood and I am a Licensed Clinical counselor with over 20 years of experience. When life presents us with difficult situations, it is possible to experience feelings of anxiety, depression, or a lack of direction, which makes it difficult to navigate. To become a healthier version of yourself, I will guide you with compassion as we work through issues. It will be a pleasure to walk with you on this journey.

A bit about my approach to therapy

-------------------------------------------------------An important aspect of my work as a cognitive behavioral therapist is encouraging people to change their thoughts. As easy as it is to say, it is not as easy to accomplish! Most behaviors seem to be changeable for a while, but sometimes the changes do not last long...this is due to the failure to alter our thinking. I have found that if we change what we think about something, the behavior tends to change.

What you can expect from our first session

-------------------------------------------------------Sometimes it can feel like we are just surviving instead of thriving. My goal is to help you reverse that and really begin thriving in the life you deserve.

Susan's style is

Challenging
Affirming
Empowering
