Great to meet you!

I work from an attachment/developmental approach that combines all modalities of treatment. You are "not" your diagnosis and real change is possible. I do not view therapy as "being forever" and I think you will find my approach direct, but always with care and compassion

My approach to therapy

I trained under many international experts in the U.S.A. and in Europe (Anna Freud Center). I tend to be more direct , yet warm and my goal is to help you first feel safe with me so we can work efficiently. I emphasize the whole person and how development may cause you to use "old strategies" learned in childhood that are now failing at whatever stage you are in your life.

What you can expect from me

My first goal is to help you feel safe and comfortable with me. Goals are fine tuned to what you feel is needed. When trauma treatment is done correctly you will likely not need therapy long term. Maybe just an occasional "tune up". I work best with clients who really, truly are willing to do the work, even if it's hard. I will never, ever bring a person to a place during therapy, where they "feel they can't cope". I am quite gentle!
