Great to meet you!

I'm Susan and I try to be the type of therapist that I would want to meet! The way you experience your therapist interpersonally really matters. You need to feel comfortable in the therapeutic relationship so that you can share, advocate for yourself, and learn and take away some productive coping strategies. I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in Florida, Massachusetts, Vermont, and Utah, and my personal attributes, experience, education, and training have led to many successes in helping clients transform their thinking, behavior, and lives.

My approach to therapy

I offer a warm and calm setting where you can slow down and be yourself. My style is easy-going, conversational, and exploratory. I incorporate an integrative approach to therapy, using evidence-based cognitive behavioral and solution-focused techniques, primarily. Additionally, I am trained in EMDR therapy. I tailor your therapy to you and meet you right where you are now. Together, we will work to understand the origins of your concerns and emotions, create some self-care practices for you, develop coping skills to help you feel better, and set forth an action plan to help you move forward.

What you can expect from me

Clients should expect me to be an active participant in their progress! We will create some clear and concise goals as well as strategies to attain your objectives. I want you to know that you are valued, incredibly interesting, and truly worthy of the attention and care that you deserve. I often think about you between our sessions and will send you supplemental resources from time to time (including worksheets, articles, and videos) that may be of interest and benefit to you. I invite you to reach out to me!
