Susan Fitzsimmons

I am a Licensed Clinical Social worker who works with people aged 18 and older who experience depression, stress, anxiety, grief, trauma and loss. I have worked in psychiatric settings and rehabilitation centers with clients who were in emotional crisis, and those working on recovery from substance abuse while also treating mental illness. I am a graduate of Fordham Graduate School of Social Service.

I listen and work collaboratively with clients in a person-centered approach to address issues in positive ways, handle stressors, develop awareness of thoughts and traits that are not beneficial, and focus on caring for one’s self.

I utilize my experience and training to help people develop skills to handle overwhelming emotions and refrain from acting impulsively, find balance, gain control of their emotions, improve relationships, navigate transitions in their life and work toward personal goals.
