Great to meet you!

With a passion for helping individuals overcome mental health and substance use challenges, Susan brings a wealth of expertise to her practice.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is to individualize it to meet a client's diverse needs. I offer unconditional positive regard and try to meet the client where they are at. I use a variety of techniques to integrate elements from multiple approaches based on the individual needs and preferences of the client. The effectiveness of therapy depends on the therapeutic relationship, the client's commitment, and the fit between the chosen approach and the client's unique situation.

What you can expect from me

Counseling sessions provide a space for self-reflection and exploration. Clients may gain insights into their thoughts, emotions, behaviors, and patterns that contribute to their challenges. Building a trusting and supportive therapeutic relationship can provide clients with a sense of validation and understanding. The therapeutic alliance often becomes a safe space where clients can express themselves openly without fear of judgment.
