Susan Hewitt

Hi! I am glad you are taking the first step towards focusing on yourself. It is necessary in order for you to be there for family, friends or your job.

Before I get to know you, I would like to tell you who I am.

I am a native of North Carolina and graduated from Campbell University in Buies Creek, NC with a Bachelors of Science in Psychology. I transplanted to Louisville, KY and pursued my Masters in Social Work Degree at The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, KY. I have experience working with all ages but most of my career has involved working with youth and their families and young adults. I have a growing interest in the area of women's health issues and dealing with chronic pain.

It has been my experience that therapy does not happen without feeling safe and having trust in your provider.

I believe that most patterns of behavior are changed by understanding the purpose they serve you and making changes based on where you want to see yourself in the future. I take a systems and solution-focused approach to help you get there.

Our first session will be a time for us to get acquainted, discuss background information regarding symptoms and treatment goals. This is also when we discuss expectations of therapy.
