Great to meet you!

Welcome! I am so glad you are here and have taken this step for your health and well-being! My name is Susan and I am a licensed professional counselor in the state of MO. I have a Masters of Arts in Counseling degree (Colorado Christian University, 2018) and have over 5 years of experience as a counselor. I have experience providing therapy to children, teens, and adults in a variety of settings including community behavioral health, residential treatment center, private practice, and hospital clinic. I look forward to meeting you and supporting you in your journey where life has you right now.

My approach to therapy

I approach therapy from a supportive role in meeting clients where they are at. I want to help guide the sessions towards your goals for treatment. I am trained in EMDR and certified in Play Therapy and incorporate a variety of therapeutic approaches depending on the needs of the client. Each client is unique and requires a personalized treatment plan and approach accordingly.

What you can expect from me

The first session is focused on introductions to each other, reviewing the counseling disclosure, and, most importantly, gathering important background information to provide the context for reasons of seeking therapy at this time. My goal is for you to feel heard, accepted, and understood and to establish some preliminary goals for therapy.
