Dr. Susan Lieberman

As a licensed psychologist, I enjoy working with people who may have a variety of diagnoses. My career started with a BSN in Nursing from the University of Missouri. After working in the NICU and Emergency Room at St. Louis Children's Hospital. I attended the University of Kansas for a MN degree in Maternal-Child Nursing, leading a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner Certificate. I also received an Internship Certificate at the Center for Child Health and Development at KUMC. After working in a variety of medical settings for 15 years, I obtained a PHD in Developmental Psychology from the University of Kansas, an Internship in Clinical Child Psychology at Children's Mercy Hospital in Kansas City, and a Post-Doctoral Fellowship in Psychology at KUMC. I worked with children, teens, adults, and families, with a variety of diagnoses for 24 years. I am currently focusing on teens, adults, and families dealing with anxiety, depression, ADHD, ASD, or trauma.

It is very difficult to reach out for help. I believe that everyone deserves to feel better after sharing their story with an understanding, empathetic person. After listening to your history and concerns, I will help you create goals to solve your problems and feel successful.

At the end of the sessions, I will summarize the behaviors and plans that will help you meet your goals. You will feel accepted, calm, positive, and motivated.
