Susan Lingle

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor-Supervisor, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, and a Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor working in Abilene, Texas. Additionally, I am a Certified Animal-Assisted Counseling Team Associate (CAACT Associate), Certified Rehabilitation Counselor (CRC), a Certified Case Manager (CCM), Board Certified-TeleMental Health provider (BC-TMH). My areas of specialty include career and life issues, depression and anxiety, disability-related issues, addiction, and grief.

I have worked in inpatient hospitalization, residential addiction treatment, domestic violence, hospice, vocational rehabilitation, rural health clinics, and private practice. Extensive experience in rehabilitation counseling, addiction counseling, and grief allows me to hold space for my clients. I use solution-focused therapy, play therapy, Animal-Assisted Counseling, sand tray, CBT, and DBT to help clients find the skills needed to bring change and healing to their lives.

Growth, change, and healing happen in the same way in both in-person and virtual settings. I value communication and encourage my clients to reach out as needed. I have both in-person and virtual sessions so I can work with any client living in Texas. I see clients in the afternoons and evenings, which allows clients to not miss work or school in order to have a session.
