Great to meet you!

I have been a Licensed Professional Counselor for over 30 years. I received my graduate degree from USD and have an undergraduate degree in Business Management. I have experience working in an addictions facility, a Community Agency and Private Practice. I operate from, “You don’t know what you don’t know,” and we begin our work together from there. I enjoy working with a variety of ages and try to give back what was given to me—a safe place to process and reflect on my life experiences.

A bit about my approach to therapy

I use a relational and humanist approach to my work with clients. Making sure people feel safe and listened to and together we work toward your goals to help you get to a better place. Learning new tools and coping skills, as well as self reflection, encourage a calmer, kinder and less impulsive approach to life.

What you can expect from our first session

Clients can expect to be heard and listened to with empathy, respect and curiosity. I am open minded and professional in my approach and also have a sense of humor. Feedback from clients include feeling supported, engagement, insightfulness, focus on goals, and responsiveness. My clients get better and express appreciation for my treatment style and we celebrate their progress together.
