Great to meet you!

I’m a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist who works with teens, adults, and families navigating depression, anxiety, trauma, stress, health challenges, and the many turning points that shape a life. I have been a therapist for over 20 years and spent the majority of that time in community mental health and integrated care. I am certified in EMDR and also utilize Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, mindfulness and many other therapeutic skills that fit your individual needs.

My approach to therapy

People often come to me when they’re overwhelmed, stuck, or sensing that something needs to shift but aren’t sure where to begin. My style is warm, grounded, and flexible. I meet you exactly where you are—no pressure, no pretense, no expectation that you show up any particular way. Whether you’re sorting through big emotions, healing from past experiences, or trying to find your footing in a season of change, I offer a space where you can slow down, breathe, and feel supported as you figure out what comes next. Our sessions will be conversational and reflective, with room for clarity, healing, and the kind of change that unfolds both gently and intentionally. Together, we explore what’s getting in the way and what’s quietly calling you forward, creating space for growth that feels authentic and sustainable.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is a chance to slow down and get oriented. We’ll talk about what brought you in, what’s been weighing on you, and what you’re hoping might feel different. There’s no pressure to have everything figured out or to tell your whole story at once—you set the pace, and I follow your lead. I’ll ask a few questions to understand what life looks like for you right now, what’s been hard, and what strengths you’re already carrying. We’ll explore what support might be most helpful, and I’ll share how I work with ACT, EMDR, and mindfulness so you have a clear sense of what therapy with me can look like. By the end of the session, you can expect to feel grounded in a plan—whether that’s identifying your goals, naming what you want to focus on next, or simply feeling heard in a way that brings a bit more clarity. My aim is for you to leave that first meeting with a sense of connection, direction, and the reassurance that you don’t have to navigate any of this alone.
