Great to meet you!

Hello, I’m Susan. If you’re feeling weighed down by depression, anxiety, or the stress of everyday life, you don’t have to carry it alone. Juggling responsibilities while trying to take care of yourself can feel overwhelming, and it’s natural to long for more balance, peace, and self-compassion.

I earned my Master of Social Work (MSW) from Florida State University in 2013 and bring over 12 years of experience in the behavioral health field. My work has included supporting individuals in skilled nursing facilities, providing care in addiction and recovery programs, and working within intensive outpatient (IOP) and partial hospitalization (PHP) settings, along with providing individual therapy.

These diverse experiences have shaped my holistic, compassionate approach. In our sessions, I provide a supportive space where we can explore your goals, build on your strengths, and face challenges with greater confidence. Whether you’re navigating difficult emotions, working through relationship struggles, or feeling stuck in cycles of anxiety and depression, I’m here to support your journey toward healing and a deeper sense of well-being.

My approach to therapy

I take a holistic approach, recognizing that your well-being includes your mind, body, and spirit. In our sessions, I integrate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), mindfulness practices, narrative therapy, strengths-based perspectives, and solution-focused techniques. Together, we’ll work to uncover unhelpful patterns, build practical coping skills, highlight your personal strengths, and reframe your story in ways that support healing, growth, and a stronger connection with yourself.

What you can expect from me

Clients can expect a supportive, collaborative space where they feel heard, understood, and empowered. Together, we work on practical tools and strategies to manage symptoms of anxiety, depression, trauma, and life transitions. Sessions focus on building insight into patterns that may be keeping you stuck, developing healthier ways of thinking and coping, and strengthening your natural resilience.
