Great to meet you!

Hello, I am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker in the state of Illinois, Florida, and Massachusetts (LICSW/LCSW). I have a Masters Degree in Social Work with a concentration in Independent Clinical Practice and Health Care Specialization. I am a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor. I have experience working with individuals experiencing symptoms related to anxiety, panic attacks, social anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, stress, life transitions, LGBTQ+ related issues, imposter syndrome, low self-esteem, perfectionism, grief, loneliness, ADHD, OCD, trauma, and substance abuse. I am compassionate, empathetic, and have a strong desire to help other people. I am dedicated to provide quality mental health treatment for all people. I provide a safe, non-judgmental space to talk about your concerns and what you are struggling with. LGBTQ+ community is welcomed. I support writing letters for emotional support animals such as cats and dogs. I have 5 cats of my own!

My approach to therapy

I use evidence-based practices such as: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), DBT Informed Therapy Skills, Mindfulness-Based Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Talk Therapy, Positive Psychology, Interpersonal Psychotherapy, Solution-Based Therapy, Insight-Oriented Therapy, Exposure Therapy, and Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP). I provide a safe, non-judgmental space to talk about your concerns, what you are struggling with, and goals that you wish to accomplish.

I am also a firm believer in Emotional Support Animals (ESA). If you have a mental health condition, I can assess and evaluate to see if an ESA would help reduce your anxiety, stress, and depression symptoms. I often write ESA Letters to individuals who use ESA to help reduce and manage their mental health symptoms. I am an animal lover and currently have 5 cats. My cats provide me with love, companionship, and bring joy into my life. I think it is important for people to have ESA as a coping tool to help support and improve their mental health conditions.

What you can expect from me

I want to help people who suffer from mental health and substance use disorders by providing them with compassion, empathy, and evidence- based therapy to help promote resilience, self-compassion, and improve their emotional well-being.
