Great to meet you!

I have been a practicing social worker for many years. I earned my MSW at Hunter College School of Social Work and my BS at SUNY Binghamton. I have a great deal of experience working with adolescents and young adults, as well as families and couples. My specialties include issues with substances--use, abuse and dependence--and family problems. I practice solution based treatment and work within various modalities.

I've worked with patients/families with substance use disorders and in a school with students grades 7-12, dealing with emotional problems, bullying/victim issues, social skills, interpersonal and family relationships etc. I have also worked with young adult patients managing anxiety and trying to figure out career, family, relationship and college issues.

My approach to therapy

I try to begin where the patient is - I don’t “tell” you what to do, but instead help find the solutions together. My style is open and honest communication and asking questions. I specialize in helping patients with anxiety and depression as well as facing different life events.

What you can expect from me

I try to create a warm and welcoming environment. Goals often include learning to manage emotions and improving communication.
