Susana Garcia-Guzman

Hola! I'm Susana a first generation Latina, bilingual, (Spanish & English) Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. First, I'd like to acknowledge the courage it takes to start your therapy journey you made it to the first step! Starting therapy can feel nerve wracking, but you won't be alone. You will be welcomed, seen & heard in a safe space. I aim to be authentic & provide my clients the same opportunity to be authentic in sessions, to feel safe while re-discovering their voice & themselves.

I have ample experience working with clients experiencing depression, anxiety, PTSD, and helping clients break through stigma, and intergenerational trauma. My approach is individualized for each client, however all my clients can expect a trauma informed, culturally sensitive, and non judgmental approach. I offer space for clients to show up authentically, and be seen and validated for who they are and their experiences.

My clients can expect questions about goals for their therapy journey, and their strengths. I also aim to be culturally sensitive and trauma informed, I may ask clients what shapes them as a person, & if there are any triggers or traumatic experiences. I aim to help clients better understand their mental health, regain a sense of safety to tackle life's obstacles by providing tools to help clients feel more like themselves again and live the life they want to live.
