Great to meet you!

As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, I founded Recovery & Counseling Through A Different Lens psychotherapy practice to support adults overcome feeling weighed down by persistent sadness, loss of interest in everyday activities, or feel unable to move forward. You may express feeling overwhelmed by anxiety characterized by excessive worry and fear, profound grief from the loss of family, parents, or loved ones, and communication challenges within relationships. Additional concerns may include disrupted sleep patterns, difficulties maintaining routines, or you are wrestling with questions about sobriety and living free from substances. My practice is grounded in a practical and compassionate approach, with the goal aimed at helping you untangle these challenges and achieve meaningful relief.

Additionally, I provide clinical supervision for licensure, internships or reciprocity as well as consultation services for Behavioral Health programs with the aim of enhancing both client outcomes and therapist professional growth.

My approach to therapy

I take an eclectic approach to therapy, blending multiple orientations (Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Behavior, DBT, Solution-Focused, Somatic Techniques, and Client-Centered) depending on what is needed for the client, under the umbrella of a trauma-informed practice. Substance use work is addressed with a focus on relapse prevention. Clinical Supervision is facilitated under the umbrella of ethics and integrity as we examine what is therapy, self-examination, and becoming a therapist.

What you can expect from me

I think that clients can expect to take away from the sessions the feeling of being understood, supported, listened to, it is ok to be vulnerable, express feelings, and begin to develop an understanding of the underlying issues of their problems and coping strategies to deal with them.
