Great to meet you!

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with more than 30 years of experience working with anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, chronic health issues, health anxiety, relationship/family issues. Courage is defined as "strength in the face of pain or grief" and "doing it depsite that fear." I respect that steps it takes to reach out for support and understanding! It says a great deal about your own readiness for change. I am both humbled and honored for the opportunity to be one of the people who might help you along the way!

My approach to therapy

I am a very curious person by nature and find people and how they understand the world to be fascinating. I am generally a solution-focused therapist, as I believe there is a solution to all problems, but I also believe that meaning and motivation are important steps to change as well. I see therapy as a team effort, as we work together to help you connect to the outcomes you want, and that you are the most important person on the team! I can pull from many therapy styles and skills to help you reach the golas and changes you are looking for!

What you can expect from me

Typically a first session is spending learning about what is bringing you to therapy now. As I work through this information gathering stage, I urge you to think about what you want to change or improve. We will prioritze those ideas and begin to clarify how we might best meet your needs. I want you to feel welcomed and comfortable, free to ask questions and to expressed your wants and needs in a safe and warm environment!
