Great to meet you!

Are you struggling with negative self-talk and debilitating thoughts and fears? Are you wading through the depths of grief and loss? Do you have difficulty effectively communicating your wants and needs in relationships? I’m here to help guide and support you on the journey of unleashing your innate emotional intelligence and resilience. I view my role as your co-pilot; together we can challenge beliefs that no longer serve you, bring awareness to how your past experiences inform your present self, and find freedom by responding to life’s challenges in new ways.

I was inspired to enter the mental health profession by way of my own emotional transformations and life experiences. As a former professional photojournalist, I have documented some of the most beautiful and tragic parts of life. The common thread that knits all of these experiences together is the fact that human emotions, from joy and awe to sadness, fear, and anger, are all an integral part of the human experience, and, people want to be witnessed and supported through all of these. As your therapist, it would be a privilege to journey with you through your own moments of beauty and pain.

My master’s degree is in Clinical Social Work from the University of Texas at Austin. In my free time, you’ll find me hiking with my pups (Tupelo, Frida, and Pinto Bean), grabbing a smoothie at Juiceland, visiting my nephews in Northern California, or attending a UT volleyball game (go Longhorns!).

I look forward to meeting you, working with you, and growing together.

My approach to therapy

My style is compassionate, down-to-earth, playful, and curious. I utilize a strengths-based, client-centered approach and invite collaboration every step of the therapeutic process. My areas of clinical focus include grief and loss, anxiety and depression, death and dying, trauma, sports psychology, and disordered eating. I also enjoy helping couples move from painful frustration toward healthy reconnection after a rupture.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, you can expect a warm, grounded space where you don’t have to have everything figured out before you arrive. We’ll take time to get to know what’s bringing you in, what’s been weighing on you, and what your goals are, at a pace that feels comfortable for you. I’ll ask thoughtful questions, listen closely, and begin to understand your story through a compassionate, curious lens. Together, we’ll start identifying patterns, strengths, and areas where you’d like support, while building a foundation of trust and collaboration that will guide our work moving forward.
