My name is Susannah and I am a licensed clinical psychologist. I specialize in integrative treatment of CPTSD and working with adults who have experienced childhood trauma and/or who come from difficult families (e.g. a parent who was an alcoholic or had bipolar disorder). I also treat mood disorders and adult ADHD.
While I specialize in helping people heal from traumatic events that may have occurred many years ago, my focus in therapy is to provide symptom relief now. I work to immediately dismantle patterns which perpetuate stress and unhappiness in close relationships while treating the nervous system dysregulation responsible for symptoms like anxiety, depressed mood or insomnia.
Ultimately, I will give you your life back, even if you never really "had" it in the first place! That is, I will help you create a felt-sense of safety and bedrock legitimacy. You will feel ready to share what you uniquely have to offer the world with others and become a person whom you respect in relationships. As they say, "It's a process," but I can help you get there much more quickly than you may expect!
