Great to meet you!

I'm dedicated to helping people navigate life's most challenging moments in a warm, supportive, professional space where you can feel comfortable sharing your most intimate thoughts, feelings, and experiences. As a psychotherapist with over 20 years of experience, I work with individuals, families, and groups using a variety of techniques like cognitive behavioral therapy, mindfulness-based practices, and solution-focused strategies—adapting to whatever feels right for you in the moment.

I'm here for you, whether you're dealing with anxiety, women's issues, relationship challenges, grief from the loss of a pet or loved one, chronic illness, disabilities, aging transitions, or the challenges of caregiving. I also specialize in supporting those facing the profound emotional and psychological impact of living with cancer. My goal is to help you find strength, meaning, and resilience as you navigate life's transitions, challenges, supporting you to heal and grow no matter where you are on your journey.

My approach to therapy

My approach is deeply collaborative, holistic and tailored to each individual. Rather than taking a passive role, I actively partner with my patients to explore the physical, emotional and social factors impacting their well-being. Using evidence-based modalities like CBT, mindfulness and solution-focused techniques, we work together at your pace to build practical tools, process life's challenges and foster lasting resilience.

What you can expect from me

If you're feeling a little nervous about getting started, take a deep breath - that is completely normal, especially if you've never been in therapy before. Our first meeting is simply a conversation to help us get oriented and build a foundation for our work together.

Because this initial session acts as a bridge between your intake paperwork and our actual therapy work, I'll help guide the flow of our time by asking a few questions. We'll handle a few brief administrative details, and then we'll use your intake form as a gentle jumping-off point to explore your story a bit deeper, always moving at a pace that feels comfortable for you.

You don't need to prepare a script or have polished answers. It's plenty to just take a moment before we meet to reflect on what's bringing you in at this point in your life and what you may be hoping could change or improve though our work together. Bring your authentic self, any questions you may have for me and your thoughts about your goals-we will take it step by step from there.
