Great to meet you!
I was born in Guadalajara, Mexico, and moved to the San Diego area at the age of three. I am fully fluent in both English and Spanish and was raised in a bicultural home within a richly multicultural environment. Growing up as part of the border culture gave me a unique perspective on identity, belonging, family, and the ways in which different cultures intersect.
My personal and professional experiences have deepened my understanding of the impact that culture, socioeconomic background, gender, race, and other aspects of identity can have on a person’s experiences and well-being. I strive to approach each client with cultural humility, curiosity, empathy, and respect, creating space for the many parts of their identity and lived experience to be recognized and understood.
