Great to meet you!

Susanne has over two decades of clinical experience and holds her Bachelor's degree in psychology and fine art from the University of Colorado, a Master's degree in social work (MSW) from the University of Michigan and currently holds her clinical licensure (LCSW) in both Florida and Indiana.

My specializations include supporting individuals navigating the challenges associated with Perinatal Mood and Anxiety Disorders (PMADs), including depression, anxiety, and other mental health conditions experienced during pregnancy or up to a year after childbirth. I have also reached a certified level in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), which is an evidence-based psychotherapy treatment developed to alleviate distress associated with trauma.

My approach to therapy

Bring me your trials, tears and trauma. Bring me your messy, fractured or family drama. Bring me your dark; your chaos or kink. I-can-handle-it!

My approach to psychotherapy is from a strengths-based perspective, which means our focus begins with identifying and building upon your existing inner resources and resilience. You have them. Yes, I AM SURE.

I am also client-centered- I believe you are the expert of your own life. AND... Sometimes, we need a seasoned tourist who can bring a flashlight to the scary parts. Or light a candle. Or start a bonfire. Or laugh about it all with. Whatever path, this foundation will guide the direction of our therapy sessions.

I am exceptionally good at sitting with humans in their darkness and being able to provide a warm, validating, and empowering space. I am also direct. You are here for a reason- let's get to it!

What you can expect from me

My work is always trauma-informed, recognizing the widespread impact of trauma and actively take measures to create a safe, supportive environment minimizing the risk of re-traumatization. I will help you to build balance back into your life. You do not need to do this alone. Please contact me today and we'll get started. Always without judgment.
