Great to meet you!

Hello! I look forward to getting to know you. I come from a back ground in 10 years working crisis pregnacy, 10 years of volunteering with families, 2 years of case management, 3.5 years as a Missouri Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor, 3 years as a PLPCounselor and now three years as an LPC in private practice work. I will work to help you strengthen yourself through processing the difficulties of life you are currently facing while building life affirming skills to be best you you can be. I have and continue to work from a modern counseling theory base and include a Biblical Christian perspective while utilizing neurocoginitive science that is well establlished to help you get the best information I can obtain in the context of your needs. I look forward to helping you thrive and have dedicated my life toward this commitment.

My approach to therapy

My approach is a partnership with you. I enjoy employing faith-based, mindfulness and the reframing/life-changing modalities of CBT, Solution-Focused, and DBT tools in my practice. With couples/relationships, Gottman's research and EFT is fun and fulfilling for most clients. ACT has helped my clients past many life hurdles .

What you can expect from me

A single session can often be a release and freedom from unwanted emotions, thoughts, and actions because they are processed, experienced, and re-worked in the safety of a professional relationship. Then, as we work, you begin to feel able. Less than this is not my goal. My sessions are real and practical. I work to give you tools, not to solve issues for you. I believe you are capable of navigating the difficulties of life. We all need others to hear us. I plan to do that, as well, in your sessions.
