Great to meet you!

I am at heart a peacemaker. As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, I help individuals and families find more harmony and less discontent together, but also help them each find more inner peace within themselves. I enjoy working with adults who are ready to feel less burdened by the things that they have struggled to manage on their own. I primarily see individuals presenting with symptoms related to anxiety, depression, relationship issues, faith crises, and parenting struggles.

My approach to therapy

I utilize a strengths based approach and Internal Family Systems principles to help increase connection and understanding to one's self, which also increases connectedness to others. I believe what you need to heal is already within you, and I am trained to help you strengthen your internal resources.

I take a very non-pathological approach. I do not believe you are broken or disordered. I do believe, however, that you probably need some help healing or strengthening from the painful, scary, or burdensome aspects of life.

What you can expect from me

Your first session with me will include me getting to know present struggles and therapeutic goals. I know even explaining your struggles can be distressing, so I will also use meditation and grounding exercises to help you begin to practice turning inside in a safe and gentle way. By the end of the session, you should feel more calm and hopeful than when you started the session.
