Great to meet you!

Hello. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) based in New York. I received my masters from Silver School of Social Work, NYU. My undergraduate degree in American Ethnic Studies from University of Washington. In my decade long career as a social worker I have worked in foster care, hospice care (adults and pediatrics), homeless drop in centers, HIV clinics/hospitals, and elder community centers and nursing homes. Providing therapy for people of all age groups and all walks of life.

My approach to therapy

I specialize in supportive executive functioning management for ADHD/Autistic individuals as a neurodivergent clinician. With an undergrad and integration of cultural traditions and family dynamic structures (e.g. filial piety, nationality ideological tensions, coming out guidance) informed by degree in American Ethnic Studies. I am provided politically informed decolonizing therapy (with a focus on social justice, global majority and indigenous rights) for those struggling with existential crises and dehumanizing effects of racism, colonization, communal violence, imperialism, state-sanctioned violence, systemic oppression, racial identity issues, and immigration trauma. LGBTQAI+/QTBIPOC2C advocacy, identity work, poly-affirming, kink-affirming, and sex positive therapist. With years of experience in hospice, I am trained in acceptance commitment therapy to support in Grief, Loss and Bereavement and other aging related and/or end of life issues (e.g. loss of bodily autonomy, chronic and/or terminal illness).

What you can expect from me

Sessions with me are open, non-judgmental, and relaxed. You will be getting homework from me, but I promise it won't be hard, but it will to empower to continue your growth outside of our therapeutic session and to support you daily well-being. You are in charge of your own journey and I am here to support you in navigation through it and a safe and healthy way. Nothing is too hard or uncomfortable to talk about. We can explore everything or nothing at all. You will always have a safe space with me. I am engaging and I am active participant in your care planning and your internal exploration during our time together.
